Hi.

My name is Kaylie! I started blogging over four years ago with the intention to show women that style comes in all shapes and sizes! After taking a trip to India last year, I re-branded The Sweltering Sweater into an ethical fashion blog. I want my readers to feel good about the clothes they're wearing, as well as where they came from!

Spring Fling

Spring Fling

Ever had a crush?

It's short lived, but also an exciting, exhilarating time in life where you are fascinated with one person and you just want to learn everything you can about them.

That is how I feel about spring trends.

In the fashion world, spring has sprung and I can literally feel the excitement in my bones as I put away those heavy jackets and neutral toned clothes and take out the most vivid pieces in my closet.

While out on an early breakfast with Angi last week, I paired this Layla Shirtdress with a Lorca Wool Cardigan. These two items are complimentary in color, but contrast in weight. The heavy wool cardigan keeps the wearer warm all spring, while the tie-front shirtdress lightens the visual aesthetic of the outfit.

Finally, balance out your ladylike look with a structured handbag. This gives an otherwise girlish ensemble a grown up flare.

Unlike a quick relationship fling, I will not be getting over the spring 2018 trends anytime soon! I hope that this pastel hued, feminine style, lasts a long, long time!

Thank you Spoils of Wear for collaborating with me on this post. They have a fantastic assortment of fair trade goods from all over the world and are a local business that I know my Twin Cities residence will love!
