One Dress, Three Ways - Joeleen Torvick
Fashion Week has been a blast so far! I've met so many incredible, creative people and I've learned about emerging companies, both local and nationwide.
For this fashion week, I made it my goal to promote my favorite fair trade brands. I wore this Spoils of Wear jumpsuit to the kickoff event on Thursday, I did a multi-outfit photo shoot on Monday night with local ethical companies (pictures coming to a feed near you!) and this Saturday, Way the Label will dress me for the Sol Inspirations Innovations Show.
For today's post, I wanted to take this Joeleen Torvick dress and show you how to style it three separate ways, using the belt.
1. Around the Waist
This one was a given when I said belt :) This creates shape for an otherwise straight cut dress and shows off your natural waistline!
2. Around the Neck
From mockneck tops to chunky coachella necklaces, accentuating a more modest neckline has been on trend the past season. In the same fashion, I took this belt and tied it into a scarf. This forces the eye to the center of your body and elongates you for a slimmer appearance.
3. Around the Head
Want a chunky headband without the headache afterwards? Try using a soft scarf instead! I've been really into the 60's mod look lately and this fits my new aesthetic to a tee!
A big thank you to Joeleen Torvick for collaborating with me on this post! This independent designer brand uses primarily natural fibers (in an effort to be sustainable), while also producing all of their products under ethical working conditions.
