Perfect Happy Hour Outfit
Happy Monday, my loves! I hope this week is off to a great start!
I don't know about you, but after a long day at work, all I want to do is spend time with my friends/family and just take time to reconnect. Although this post is titled "happy hour," it does not mean that this time is limited to a girls night out at a bar. It could be a date night with your significant other or grabbing a coffee with your best friend.
However you do Happy Hour, make sure you're doing it in style. For this look, I chose this Spoils of Wear jumpsuit as the focal point. This jumpsuit is pretty cool in general, as I would term it the epitome of street style with its sleek silhouette and cross-body zipper detail, but it also is a fantastic fit for my rectangular shaped ladies out there! It emphasizes the waist and the length slims the legs without cutting them short visually at the ankles.
Even though it is August and humid all day every day, I added this The Fitting Room MPLS jacket for those restaurants that blast their AC. It is a great transitional piece from summer to fall (if you want other ideas on how to transition your favorite summer pieces, read my last blog post here) as it is heavy enough to keep you from freezing, but light enough where you won't roast if you're sitting on the patio outside.
Finally, I wanted a bag that could easily go from work to play. This Strey Designs bag can go from a crossbody to clutch with the removal of a strap. I am IN LOVE with this brand and how every one of their pieces are multi-functional. You really get your bang for your buck with these and the purse itself fits more than you would think!
So whether you're hitting up date night, tea time with your bestie or thirsty Thursday happy hour, be sure to pick something you could comfortably wear to work or afterhours, bring a cover up for that wild AC and bring a bag that is big enough to fit the essentials, while small enough to take on the go.
Thank you to KC Filzen for the gorgeous photos!
